Pete's Log: the relentless passage of time

Entry #2518, (Fediverse, Meta, World Wide Web)
(posted when I was 45 years old.)

Below are my streaks stats from yesterday. Once I post this entry, my months streak will tie with my 1998-2002 streak as longest.

Screenshot of the year/month/day streaks Pete currently has going in terms of posting. The monthly streak is 48 months and the longest monthly streak is 49 months.

I feel strangely wistful about this. I think it's because those first 49 months felt like such a long time at the time. And these past 49 months feel like I blinked and they were gone.

I recently declared "tabruptcy" and closed 170ish tabs. And somehow I've already collected another dozen since then. So here are some random things so I can close some of them.

I recently started following some more IndieWeb-related hashtags such as #SmallWeb and #PersonalSites. Some of the things that popped up from that are the IndieWeb Carnival (May Edition) or Julius Kaiser posting personal homepages under the hashtag #cph.

I really like the idea behind the The Disenshittify Project. My only concern is that those enshittifying their services have more motivation to game their versions to the top of search results.
