Pete's Log: Hi, astronauts!

Entry #1803, (Life in General)
(posted when I was 37 years old.)

Jamie, Boogie and I just watched the ISS fly over our yard. I get notifications from spotthestation.nasa.gov pretty often, but frequently it's for a 3 am flyover or it's cloudy or I forget, but every so often I make the effort to watch it, because it's pretty amazing, really.

The sky was clear all evening, and when we headed out to wait for the station, some clouds started rolling in from the Southwest, which is the direction the ISS was supposed to come from. And they moved in ridiculously quickly, so we didn't catch our first glimpse of the station until it was almost directly overhead. For a moment I thought we wouldn't see it at all. But we did. And we should make time for moments like this more often.

I also fed my starter this evening. It smells good.
