Pete's Log: Raucherklubs und Skiwochenende

Entry #1570, (Life in General)
(posted when I was 29 years old.)

I joined my first smoking club last night:

Bavaria banned smoking in all public establishments at the beginning of January. Exceptions were granted for private clubs. So a number of bars in Munich have converted to smoking clubs. I'd managed to avoid those bars so far. But one assertive girl in our group of five wanted to go there. She was also the only smoker in our group. Apparently the rest of us are idiots. If nothing else, it was a good reminder that the smoking ban is a nice thing.

The first movie I've seen in a theater in a while, Juno, was quite good. I recommend it.

Last weekend, I went skiing at Arlberg with Tony, Dave, and Dave's friend Andy. It was a good time, with good snow. Peculiarly, after a mild winter, it suddenly snowed a bunch after the spring equinox. I took some pictures.
