Training took me back to Amsterdam for three days last week. I like Amsterdam better in May than I do in February. I rather liked Amsterdam in February.
I took advantage of the hotel room to watch a bit of television, something I do rarely these days. The news channels were discussing Bush's announcement last week to get the US more involved in reducing greenhouse gases. What interested me most is that the BBC portrayed this as a favorable development, whereas the German public broadcaster I saw (ARD or ZDF) portrayed this negatively, as though Bush were just trying to score political points before the G8 Summit without actually promising anything substantial. Trust nobody.
I'm no longer the newbie at amasol. w00t!
On Thursday I will enjoy the fourth public holiday in six weeks. Sadly, I will have to wait until August before the next one after that.
