Pete's Log: Nevada Tan

Entry #1452, (Music)
(posted when I was 28 years old.)

Florian got free tickets to a promo show by a German band called Nevada Tan. So he invited me to come along and see them. We first met up with some guy who was either a promoter or a manager or something for the band. He took us on to a tour bus (owned by Gibson, apparently) and told us about the current trends of German music (apparently singing in German is becoming cool again) and how Nevada Tan is about to break into the charts.

Then we saw the show. It was only about an hour long, but fun. It was kind of like a German Linkin Park, maybe. Heavy rock, plus a guy scratching turn tables, plus a pretty voice singer, plus a rapper/screamer. I liked it. Perhaps I'll try to buy some of their music off iTunes. Perhaps. The funny thing is the rapper guy reminded me of Warren from Empire Records.

Some other notes:

  • Annie B pimped my myspace page. I gave her my password and let her have at it.
  • As predicted my new cleats tore my feet to shreds. But they're good shoes and I can't wait to get them broken in.
